Also annotated "picked up in a German dug-out near Bullecourt by Sgt, G, E, Attwood, 2nd London Regt. Royal Fusiliers, 56th Div." Also, a press cutting dated 20th October 1916 and two printed caricatures of J. G. Roberts, one of them by David Low.

C. J. DENNIS, (1876-1938). "The Moods of Ginger Mick" was written during the early years of World War One when Australian nationalism was at its peak. In addition to two overseas editions, "Ginger Mick", as this book is commonly called, sold over 70,000 copies in its first four years. A special "pocket version for the troops" was reprinted four times.
