"A cry for help" - a First World War pilot in distress calls to a colleague already in heaven. The pilot is standing in his cockpit while his bi-plane is crashing to earth. His arms are outstretched and he seems to be pleading with a fellow pilot who is sitting on a cloud and looking down on him.
