Artist:CHRISTOPHER WYNNE NEVINSON, ARA RI ROI RBA NEAC NS (1889-1946). Nevinson was a pacifist and volunteered to work for the Red Cross, later working for the Royal Army Medical Corps. He was invalided out of the army in 1916. Nevinson's war paintings confirm that he saw the war as a tragic event and they are among the masterpieces of his career.
