Sidney Dennant Moss was born in Ipswich and was a painter of landscapes and town scenes in watercolour. He exhibited over 150 works, particularly at the Beaux Arts Gallery, Fine Art Society, Glasgow Institute, The Walker Gallery, Liverpool and in London at the RA, RBA, RI and ROI. He was elected a full member of the Royal Society of British Artists.
Moss painted many scenes in London and Sussex. He travelled to the Middle East and later resided in London. From 1920, he lived at Tunbridge Wells and died on the 22nd December 1946.
Private Moss served with the 95th Company Labour Corps., the 6th Battalion London Regiment (Royal Army Medical Corps.) and the 84th Field Ambulance Territorial Force in France and Salonika.
